Baxter Jacobs just survived the worst Sweet Sixteen
in history: buried in a coffin, hunted down by assassins, and losing almost
everything that mattered to her. She’s ready for some normalcy, but “normal”
won’t play any part of this Time Bender’s future.
Now that the immediate threat is over, Baxter learns
just how much the English Council expects of the newest Interred. The pressure
has her seriously considering her uncle’s offer to take her to New York,
especially since she thinks it will keep her Healer, Jack, from overusing his
abilities. Knowing the New York Council’s ranks are filled with beings using
dark powers, however, makes her hesitate.
Before she can choose, the decision is wrenched from
her. Fissures in Time result in a new battle with an old enemy. Someone she
thought she’d lost reenters her life, and she’ll discover a web of lies woven
into the fabric of Time…lies only she can unravel. Baxter will have to use her
growing abilities to try and reveal the truth, even if it forever changes the
reality she knows.

I just finish reading this book and I love it. Love the characters and love how the book turned out to be. I am gone keep this short, and I am gone write the review for the two books, this one and the second book (Fissure) since I read both books one right after the other one, I have to say that I am not to much into paranormal, but I do love to read a good paranormal book, and this one is one of this.
BOOK 1
The story begging with Baxter, she is about to turned sixteen, her family move into her stepfather parents house, after they lost their house in a fire, now they live in a farm in the middle of nowhere, she is bore, with no phone and no internet, when she goes to the family room she notice that her mom is playing with the baby. when she ask for her stepfather they tell her that his outside, when she walk outside where is cold and snowing, she has a little chat with her stepfather, before they walk in they notice a car driving by, Baxter found that weird, when she when in side the house, things started to get more weird she thought she was losing her mind. That's when their was a knock at the door, that was the day that would change her life. And her world will wind of chaos because two boys brothers, each one wants something from her and she is not so sure she can deliver. First Baxter has find out what it is that Jack and Declan want from her, and then decide if she will do it. Jack is the sexy flirt and Declan is the bad boy broader but when it comes to helping Baxter is a natural helper and she will do whatever it takes to help them out.

The story begging with Baxter, being at the hospital where Jack is healing, after surviving the battle on her sweet sixteen, Jack found her with broken bone and hurt, he decide to heal her to the point of exhaustion, Baxter remember what she had to do which it was to free Declan, but she don't remember the fall that she took, now she has some memories loss and that's making her to be angry all the time, now she is wondering the lesson that she has learn, that include death, betrayal, lies, and the most reason one is anger, all she wants is to have her normal life back, but she cant have that, now that she find out that their is, bad blood between the New York and English councils,
and Jack has gone missing, and her mental connection to him seems cut, and on the other end the veil between the non-magical and the Magical Beings has been shredded, and the humans do not stand a chance against the powers of those who would end their existence. Would she find Jack and would they win this battle.
I really love and enjoy reading this series, love the new characters, and cant wait to read more of this series, Author Marilyn Almodóvar THANK YOU for INTRODUCING ME TO THIS AWESOME CHARACTERS AND THIS GREAT SERIES LOVE IT.

Time
has never been an issue for Baxter Jacobs, but then she never knew she had the
ability to Bend it.
