Excerpt

I decide not to waste much time on my wardrobe. I grab my new jeans, a long-sleeved white tee, boots, and veto drying my hair by putting on my favorite camo ball cap. Once I’m ready, the girls and I grab a bite to eat and all go our separate ways. I crank up the radio and the heat in the Honda. It feels like minutes instead of an hour when I realize I’ve been lost in thought the majority of the way. Can we say dangerous? Note to self: focus while driving.
I pop in our drunk mix cd that Caroline always plays in her room while we drink PJ. It’s a lot more comical to listen to while sober. Seriously, the country version of “Gin and Juice” and “The Monster” by Eminem? I can’t help but laugh. It doesn’t get any better when “Genie in a Bottle” by Christina Aguilera begins playing. What was she thinking? Oh, wait. She wasn’t thinking because she was drunk.
I approach Grassy Pond, and nothing has changed since Thanksgiving. It’s still stoplight after stoplight. I can’t wait to hit that gravel road. I see the farm approaching and feel the butterflies within my stomach. For once, I’m excited and relieved to be home.
Turning off the ignition, I see Blue running toward me. As soon as I’m out of the car, he attacks me. “Yeah, boy, I’ve missed you, too.” I rub behind his ears and then make my way to the house.
There’s no need to hurry, because as I glance up, Tessa and Mama are in full out sprints. I giggle inside. Tessa wraps me in a tight embrace.
“Miss me much?” I smirk.
“Char, I swear. Mama and Daddy have been workin’ me to death on this farm. If you didn’t get home soon, I might actually have had to take care of those stupid goats, not to mention sloppin’ the hogs. Yuck!”
I should have known Tessa was more excited because that meant less work for her, but that’s my sis, always missin’ when a little hard work needs to be done.
“Hey, hun, I’m glad you’re home. Your dad’s gone into town to get a few posts for the fence. I don’t know what has gotten into that bull out there. It’s like he just doesn’t know which side he belongs,” Mama says.
I pop the trunk and grab my bags. Mama grabs my laundry basket, and we make our way into the house.
As I walk through the screen door, the sound of an F250 that I’d know anywhere rings in my ears. I smile and throw my bag at the bottom of the stairs. I do a one-eighty, press the screen door open, jump off the stairs, and run as fast as my legs will go to that perfect sound. Cash opens the door and steps out in one swift motion. He has on a pair of jeans, a white plaid pearl snap, camo hat, and boots. Damn. I jump straight into his arms and hold him as close as possible.
“Miss me much?” He winks.
I begin to laugh uncontrollably. “You know, I just used that line on Tessa.” I pull him closer. He looks into my eyes, smiles with that damn dimple, and I feel complete. Cash Money makes me whole.
He finally puts me down when he hears the screen door open. I see Tessa standing there with her hands on her hips. “Um, did y’all plan that?”
“Plan what, Tess?” I question as I straighten my long-sleeved white shirt. Then, it dawns on me. Jeans, white shirt, camo hat, and boots. Cash and I look like we planned our freakin’ wardrobe.
“What can I say? Great minds think alike,” Cash says as he slaps my ass while we walk toward the house. We go inside and Mama has lunch waiting.

Cover Reveal FROM YESTERDAY by Miriam Epstein

Title: From Yesterday
Author: Miriam Epstein
Genre: New Adult Romance
Expected Release Date: March 18, 2014
Cover Designer: Cover It! Designs

Synopsis
Moving to Miami was supposed to be enough distance from her family and her past, but Paige Kerimov can’t seem to get them out of her head. A year of self-induced solitude, nothing but school, Paige reluctantly starts to let people back into her life, including one person in particular; the insistent and attractive Brady Quinlan with whom she is paired for a project that will impact her major. She has no choice but to work with him, no matter how tough that makes it to deny her attraction to him.
As Paige lets her guard down, remnants of a violent past and a tragic history start to resurface and Brady knows she is hiding something. He tries to figure her out, but she can’t let him see when the truth is that she isn’t sure if she’s in danger from anything other than herself.

Excerpt
A single tear drop defies me and leaks out of my right eye, traveling a jagged path down my cheek. Brady takes his hand off of mine and wipes the tear away with one finger, then cups the side of my face and pulls me a little bit closer to him. “Don’t be sad, Paige. I’ve grieved already. I will always miss her, but I have wonderful memories of my mother to take with me.”
I close my eyes and lean into his hand without thinking. I’m sad for him, yes, but I also want to know why he can speak of his dead mother with such maturity when I can’t stop conjuring the image of my dead sister. And I’m a selfish bitch for being jealous of his acceptance.
When I open my eyes again, he is looking at me with intent. His thumb moves to stroke my bottom lip and a tiny sigh escapes my throat. The table between us is quite narrow and there is so little distance keeping me from kissing him. It scares me. I feel like a bucket of ice water is being poured over my head and I snap back in my seat with such suddenness that I knock my bag over and the contents spill out on the floor under the table. Brady is still poised there with his hand extended, but the look on his face says he is disappointed. He recovers in record time and we both bend down to retrieve my things. I shove my clothing back in the bag and then I sit up too fast and smack the back of my head on the hard surface of the table. It stuns me and makes my vision swim for a minute, but I still see what is laying on the floor. The package I received earlier must not have been sealed properly because the contents have made their way onto the floor. The necklace my sister always wore, a platinum heart pendant with her Garnet birthstone in the center, is sticking out of the envelope. It is dirty; covered in a substance that I believe is dried blood, and a note is attached. The red lipstick from the mirror was used to spell out ‘I will always find you’.

Sometimes doing the wrong thing feels so right...
I'm a player. I'm an asshole. I'm someone you should stay away from.
I have demons.
I've made mistakes.
And the biggest can't be taken back.
I've gone to hell and back in twenty-nine years and I'm only now coming to terms with moving forward, righting my wrongs, and making amends. Except not everyone deserves forgiveness. Sometimes the damage done is beyond repair.
Everyday is exactly the same. I focus on the pain, in the quest to feel and forget, but I remember everything. When I close my eyes the darkness encroaches and some days it feels like the things that kill me are the things that make me feel alive.

Excerpt
I hovered over her sweet body, the soft flesh beneath my fingers like fucking silk. Her hands laced in the rungs of the headboard above her head, propping her breasts high and full for me. Her head was thrown back in ecstasy, full lips formed in a a perfect O as moans escaped her throat.
She was fucking stunning. I moved in and out of her, slowing my pace, hitting her as deep as I could, rounding my hips with each slow thrust and drag. She was everything, had been my everything for a few months, the only one that had ever gotten me.
All of me.
The me that no one else had ever seen.
Fuck of it was, she was my brother’s fiancĂ©e.
I’d fucking taken her right from under him.
I hadn’t meant to, I don’t think she’d meant to either, it’d just happened one night, and there’d been no going back.
And now here we were, months later, I was still plowing into her—taking her, owning her, making her mine—every fucking night in my bed, hearing her call my name, her eyes hazy with lust and love when I finished.
Except tonight was different.
Tonight was the last time.
Tonight I was ending it.
My heart clutched in my chest as the words floated through my head. My eyes burned with the pain of it.
I didn’t want to let her go, but more than anything, I was sick of running. And seeing my brother again had finally opened my eyes.
This was it.
This was it for us. For me and her. For the girl that had wrapped her fingers around my soul and held it so fucking tightly it was as if my every fucking breath depended on her.

Excerpt

We were heading back to the meeting point with only two hundred and fifty metres left to go, before having completed the full five kilometre circuit of the lake. Riley and I had been running together most of the way, I knew he had been taking it easy to stay with me and I appreciated the gesture.
“Come on I’ll race you, loser pays for dinner,” I called, taking off at a sprint.
Riley was like a freaking Olympian he was so fast, but I had longer legs so could take longer strides. I pushed as hard as I could to at least try to stay level with him, and I’m sure in the end he backed off to let me win.
I threw myself down on the grass under a shady tree and laid stretched out, hands over head trying to calm my breathing.
“Hot, sweaty and breathless really suits you,” Riley said with a cheeky grin as he lay down next to me, mimicking my position.
“Well I have you to thank for that, you were riding me pretty hard toward the end.” I blushed suddenly realizing what I had just blurted out, but Riley just chuckled.
“Next time you can ride me, as hard as you like.”
I blushed an even deeper scarlet and shook my head to clear the tantalising image, I could always replay it later.
“Okay, pair up for stretches,” Mal instructed to the group.
Now stretches I could do, fifteen years of ballet had kept me very flexible. Riley knelt up over one of my legs while he held the ankle of the other.
“Let me know if it hurts,” he said, the corner of his mouth twitching.
“I can take it,” I said, biting my bottom lip.
He pushed my leg gently at first, then realizing it was still going, pushed it all the way so my foot was beside my head and he was leaning right over me.
“Ah...that’s handy,” he said with raised eyebrows, a cheeky smile shining through his eyes again.
I diverted my eyes and looked down at his side. From the position he was in, I could now read the tattoo clearly, it said;
Give me Strength when I’m standing and Faith when I fall
I lightly ran my fingers down the tattoo as I read it, and he shivered but held still, watching my face intently.
“Was it just something you liked or does it have special significance for you?” I asked curiously.
“It has significance in various ways,” he said, sitting down next to me. “In the military we need strength when we’re standing toe to toe with the enemy, and faith that we can get back up in the face of defeat. But I think we need faith that we are doing the right thing and making the right decisions in life, even when the right thing is sometimes the hardest.”
He smiled down at me. “Do you have any tattoos hidden away?”
His eyes scanned my body. There wasn't that much that was covered up under my little shorts and crop top.
I shook my head. “I've thought about it, but I've never found a verse or picture that I would want to wear for the rest of my life.” I shrugged. “Maybe one day.”

The story begging with Tara packing her stuff up, since she was getting the hell out of her boyfriend house, well ex boyfriend now since she left him while he was in a business trip, Tara took that chance to move in with her friends, and she had to start breaking the chain that he hold of her, for the last two years, he been abusing her it got to the point where she needed to ask him if what she was wearing was ok, that all change when she found out that he cheated on her, and that's all it took for her to live him.

Now trying to make new memories and live a new life, Tara gets in roll at a gym, she gets a new apartment, and start to meet new people, she meet Jason her hairstylist who is gay and have a crush on Marcus, the owner of songbird karaoke bar, than we have Rile Kelli's boyfriend's best friend, member of the special forces, hot sexy military man, and than we have Cooper singer of a local band.
