When Kelly Reynolds’s husband died, he left her—the awkward, cautious one—to raise their two young boys. She’s pieced herself back together, barely. Now she takes refuge in her routine: running her kids around and running the trails near her Idaho home.

Two years after her husband’s death, a chance encounter on a run brings Andrew into her life. But Andrew is Andy Pettigrew, the Andy Pettigrew, famous actor. Kelly hates risk, and a love affair with Andrew is certainly tempting fate. She doesn’t fit into his Hollywood world. She doesn’t own a pair of Louboutins, and she couldn’t walk five paces in them if she did. Andrew oozes cool. She reeks of dork.

But despite this, they click. It may be inexplicable, but it works. However, it’s also becoming clear that Andrew struggles with the pressures of his fame. Kelly’s hold on a so-called normal life is already tenuous, and as much as she might want to indulge the fantasy, she doesn’t know how either of them is supposed to cope with stalkerazzi and tweet-happy fans with camera phones. She and Andrew both have secrets that seem impossible to keep.

Beck Anderson’s witty, engaging writing yields an emotional tale of love, loss, and all the little things that make up a life. In the end, what is it that really holds us together? Kelly must decide if love can fix two people who might be broken beyond repair.

About the Author

Beck Anderson believes in the power of perfectly imperfect women and in the healing power of love. Her new novel, Fix You, grew out of those beliefs and the time to write afforded by the worst Thanksgiving blizzard she's ever witnessed in West Yellowstone.
For Beck, the path to published novelist has taken lots of twists and turns, including a degree in anthropology, a stint as a ticket seller at a ski resort, a much-loved career as a high school English teacher, and a long tenure as a member of the best writing group ever, hands down.
Beck balances (clumsily at best) writing novels and screenplays, working full-time as an educator, mothering two pre-teen males, loving one post-40 husband, and making time to walk the foothills of Boise, Idaho, with Stefano DiMera Delfino Anderson, the suavest Chihuahua north of the border.

Excerpt:
Hey, Char, while Cash ain’t in here. Where the hell am I staying tonight? I mean, I don’t
want to intrude on y’all.”

“Piper, you can stay in there because you know as well as I do nothing is going to
happen.” She looks at me like whatever.

About that time Cash opens the truck door and climbs in. We make our way to campus,
up the stoop, and into Kluft. I am exhausted and need a shower to recoup before Hank’s
tonight. As we reach the top step, I can hear Caroline, Tori, Georgia, Jenny, Anna, and
Cassie in hall. They are singing to “Thrift Shop”blaring over the radio and dancing like
fools in the hallway.

Cash glances at me, “Oh lawd, what have I got myself into?” I just shrug my shoulders
and pull him down the hall. All the girls take their turn putting moves on him, and of
course, Anna has something to say. “Hey, Cowboy, I ain’t ever rode a cowboy before.”
With a wink Cash answers back, “Sorry, Sweetheart, but I ain’t a cowboy. I’m a
homegrown country boy that only has eyes for one little lady,” as he stares into my blue
eyes.

Etta Davis didn't have showing a house penciled into her Christmas plans, but with the other realtors already off enjoying their holiday, she'd been stuck with the task. It wasn't all bad though, the house up for grabs used to belong to the family of her high school sweetheart, Andrew Larson. Though now dilapidated, thanks to its current owners, it still held the power to bring back forgotten memories and turn the routine showing into something else entirely. Particularly when Andrew shows up, wanting to buy the house. Now Etta must decide whether a second chance is worth taking the house, and her heart, off the market.

EXCERPT

ETTA DAVIS STILL hadn’t aged a day in my mind, even the way she said my name, Andrew. I remembered the first time she talked to me, how her voice was a little deeper than the other girls on the playground and I found it incredibly attractive even at such a young age. She eventually grew into her voice and her body. I couldn’t forget her long legs and the way she wrapped them around me. The way she moaned my name and arched her back when I was inside of her. And now she was back, standing in front of me like nothing had ever changed. Maybe it hadn’t.
I brushed my fingers on the butcher block countertop. I remembered my mom insisted that we must have them in our kitchen. Dad thought they were silly and going to get cut up, but he always gave into my mom. I smiled to myself, thinking about how many times I sat there with Etta, pretending to do homework when really I just spent the whole time glancing over at how good she looked. When I found an ad for my parents’ former house in one of the free real estate magazines at the gas station, I was intrigued. But when I saw Etta’s big brown eyes staring back at me from the corner of the ad, I knew I had to see it.
I loved her. Part of me still did. Even though it was years ago that we were together and she broke up with me when she left for college, I still couldn’t get her out of my head. When I  heard she moved back to town I couldn’t figure out a way to contact her, but after almost two years, walking around and debating what to do, I decided that the ad was a sign. Even if it was Christmas Eve.
“Would you like to see the rest of the house, Andrew?” Etta asked.

I looked back over at the girl I loved. Did she still love me? She definitely wasn’t the same girl I remembered; there was something different about her. She was older and it was as if all those years added some wisdom. She knew what she was talking about when she pointed out every nook and cranny of the house, explaining the plumbing changes and what the inspector had seen. She also looked different, that was for sure, but I liked the new look. I always thought she was too skinny, all those years of dance kept her as thin as a rail and now I wanted to run my hands down the new curves of her body. I wanted to rip the skirt right off of her and delicately, slowly peel her tights off and feel those legs around me. But I had to keep my head in check. Maybe she didn’t feel the same way. Maybe I was just making a fool of myself.
You can buy this book or any of the 12 NA’s of Christmas titles on Amazon.

Excerpt

“I'm fine!” I pushed harder on the gas. “They can't be that far ahead of us.” I just hoped we were headed in the right direction.
We drove another twenty minutes north as I moved off the dirt road and onto grass. I glanced back at Rane. “Do you think Craynor could have found a place in Haven to keep Joshua?” “I don't know. Not much was left. There could have been a cellar or basement abandoned that didn't get struck. That's how I survived,” Rane admitted. It at least gave me hope. As we drove north, the rain stopped and the clouds parted. Cresting a hill, I slammed the brakes as we jolted to an abrupt halt. “What the hell?” Gavin's voice echoed as the seatbelt restrained him and his arm shot up on the dashboard to steady himself. A few feet away, I saw outlaws with weapons pointed in our direction. “Hurry up!” His voice threatened in my ear as I slammed on the gas, but our car wasn't going anywhere: the tires had blown from spikes in the road. Locking the doors hadn't helped. They busted the car window and flipped the lock, opening the door, dragging all three of us out.

Seeing Black (Seeing Red, #2)Seeing Black by Sidney Halston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***** I received an ARC copy for an honest review *****

Wow just finish reading this book and let me just that I did not wanted to finish it. I want more O.M.G. I am so in love with this series, I love the characters and the ending was perfect. I have to say this book made me cried a little, but I love every single second of it.

Seeing Black pick right up where Seeing Red left off, while I was reading this book my emotions where all over the place, I couldn't think and I just kept trying to guess who really was the BAD guy, and let me just say that every time I though I had the right answer to it, it just throw me to the other way did not know if I was going back or forward, on trying to guess.

After Jillian, Heather, and the twin Oliver & Alexander, when back to Onion island, that's where Jillian was able to make her decision about the twin, that's is also where Heather found some things that is related to Paul Black her ex and her Father, that's when she finally met her father in person for the first time.

When they all when back to Texas, lets just say that everything started to get a little crazy, Alexander became more protected over Jillian after he met her father, made it really clearly that he did not like or trust her father, but Jillian was not looking at it like that, after they had a big fight the first time of seeing each other was back at the classroom, that's when Paul Black came back to Jillian life, and once he found out that she was seeing her father he told her to stay away from him, this the on thing that Alexander and Paul agree to that was also the last time that she got to see Alexander before she when missing.

Let me just say that for the next few month their lives change, Jillian kept waking up without remembering much, Alexander was suffering, and Paul finally came out clean with who he is, Paul started to help Jillian and he also when to the twins and told them everything he new about Jillian father.

What I love more about this story is that Alexander fought and never gave up on finding Jillian. he knew that she was still alive he kept telling everyone that he fill it. love it how you could get to read it from his point of view how much he was suffering and know how much he LOVE hers.

I really enjoy and love this story and I hope that once you read it that you get to love it as much as I did.

And I am gone say it again Author Sidney Halston THANK YOU for introducing me to this amazing characters and this awesome book. Cant wait to read more of your books.

Oh Wow I just finish reading this book, and wow don't know what to say, I love the characters love how some of the story is from all the main characters point of view. this book had me all over the place thinking who is the mystery man, and what are the journals hiding, love it how it gives you entry from the journal, that makes you understand more about where they come from and how they got to where they are, I just love the story.

The story with Jillian, having one of her premonition, while she was getting ready to go to Helen funeral, now Helen was the woman that race her and the twins, the twins are Oliver and Alexander, these three grow up together on an island, Helen and Jillian mother and the twin mother where on a plain crash that's where Jillian, that's where Jillian was born, than seven moths later the twins where born too, they live on Onion island for twelve years before they where rescue, now seven years has pass by since they all seen each other, after the funeral Jillian and up inheriting some boxes full of journals they got to see that they where Helen, this journal would answer so many question that she has, after the funeral they spend four more years with out seen each other, but Jillian and Oliver always kept in touch, now that she starting law school she did not expect to see Alexander their to her surprise they are taking the same classes.

That's where the mystery of the teacher Mr. Black comes in from the beginning Heather her best friend and roommate did not like him at all and Oh boy you will find out why.

I love how they act with each other, especially how Alexander and Jillian are so competition with each other but they have chemistry and flirtation and fighting all role up in one big package Passion of emotion.

I really enjoy and had fun reading this book and I hope that you get to feel the same way once you read it.

Mia Reeve’s faith, trust and sense of security were all taken away in the blink of an eye.  In need of a fresh start, she settles into a new town and begins to make a new life.
Tristan Chamberlain has always kept girls at arms length and he has no intention of changing. He’s caring, smart, handsome, but he’s also dealing with a lifetime of guilt that’s slowly but surely destroying him.
Sometimes the thing that you run from is the one thing that will save you.
Separately, they’re both free-falling. Together, they’re about to find that love can create the strongest safety net of all.

 Teaser
Tristan’s lips covered mine gently as he started softly before deepening the kiss.  When we turned to face each other fully, I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and ran my fingers through his hair.  He tasted better than I could ever have imagined, and he kissed me like he had a cheat-sheet for what would make me feel the best.  I’ve never been kissed so passionately, or held as if I really matter to someone.  Tristan cradled me in his arms like I was precious to him.
We pulled apart at the same time a few minutes later, and because he didn’t let me go, I didn’t let him go, either.  We stared at each other in silence for a few moments, and I smiled shyly at him, even as I felt a blush steal across from my face.
He smiled back at me as he continued to stare at me with a look of confusion as the seconds passed before he spoke.  “Holy Hell Mia… You make me feel… I don’t even know.  Different?”
That’s like the pot calling the kettle black. The way I feel around Tristan is entirely new.  “Right back at you,” I said quietly.

Mia has a best friend Macy who is going through a rough time in her life, now let me just say that Macy and Mia when through a lot for one bad choice and one mistake that they made one night while they where still n high school made Macy to have a nerves brake down, and Mia moving out of her town, I have to say I got so angry because of the way that Mia fathers talk to her always letting her know that she is an unwanted child from his part, but that don't mean anything to Mia that just made her stronger.

I love how Tristan and Mia became together they started as friend and they discover that they where more than friend they new they love each other from the first day they met.
